Me? A blogger?
Wow!  I can't believe I'm blogging.  It wasn't that long ago that I didn't even know what a blog was.  But, I figure, if I'm not moving ahead, I'm moving backwards.

It has almost been two years since I opened my shop.  It has been quite an experience.  Coming from being a full time mom to being an empty nester was hard.  This business venture has been my link to the sane world.  My creative side is able to run amuck.  I love making new things, learning new crafts, meeting new people, finding new products to put in my shop.

I hope this new holiday season will open doors for me and for the downtown area of Van Alstyne.  I feel akin to this old place.  We are both aging....and yet, we are both struggling to move forward and change with the times.  Please say a prayer for new beginnings.

Owner Holly Y. Wyche had a vision of a place where she could create and show her art in a homey, comfortable, and yet, classy setting.  This newly restored building is the proud home of her studio and gallery.   Coming from the ghostly shell of burned-out walls, a elegant building now stands, adding to the character of charming Downtown Van Alstyne.

We are proud to announce that we now carry a wide variety of items both personal and domestic.  Holly has set up her store with a western/rustic theme.  She now carries one-of-a-kind jewelry, candles, antiques, western furniture, vintage style tablecloths, lamps..........................the list goes on and on.   We think you will like the new style of the store.

Come by often to be the first to see new items.

About our town:

Van Alstyne has so much to offer.  Just in the downtown area, we have a art gallery, a clothing boutique, a shabby chic shop, kid's clothes, a jewelry store, antiques, restaurants, and a lovely bed and breakfast.

Take a step back in time.  Come to our little town and see what an old downtown can be like.
